2012 Winter Banquet

On January 7, 2012, Talligewi Lodge 62 will be holding its annual Winter Banquet at the Holiday Inn Lakeview in Clarksville, IN. Registration will begin at 6:30 PM and the night will most likely end around 10 PM at the latest. Highlights will include the new officer inductions, and the Lodge Winter Business Meeting and celebration of the years good work.

Right now, if you pre-register before December 25, you will only have to pay $20, whether it be when you preregister or at the door. After that date, the cost is $25. You may pre-register online through Pay Pal on the Lodge website.

You may also reserve a place if you plan to attend and will be purchasing your new Talligewi Card can be reserved by emailing: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . We need to have enough food for everyone so do not miss out and not preregister.

Why should you come? The Winter Banquet is a time for us to gather as brothers and to kick off the year with a great start. There is great food, too. We all know that the 13th Point of the Scout Law is that "a Scout is Always Hungry". Bring your friends and family, too! Finally, this event This is not only limited to Talligewi Lodge members.

 

2012 Lodge membership Dues

In order to keep your membership in the Order of the Arrow and Talligewi Lodge allowing you to attend Winter Banquet, Ordeals, and Fall Fellowships along with Section and National events you have to pay your dues. For $15 you can receive your standard membership or you can pay $70 and get the TalligiCard which includes the event fees and express check-in to all of our Lodge functions as well as the Event Patches (Winter Banquet, Spring Ordeal, Summer Ordeal, Fall Ordeal and Fall Fellowship).

No matter when you joined the Order of the Arrow, membership dues run from January 1st through December 31st. Brothers who joined us this year MUST renew their membership for the 2012 year, your current membership only covers through December of 2011.

Paying for dues can be done several different ways. First, you can pay online at www.talligewi62.org under the Registration tab, then click Dues/Event Registration. While the lodge uses PayPal to process the payments a PayPal account is not required to pay your dues. Another way is to download the Dues form from the Registration tab on the website, fill it out, and then send it along with the money to the address on the form. Lastly, during Jamborama the Lodge will be at the Information booth if you would prefer to pay in person.

NOAC 2012Next Stop: NOAC 2012! Here we go. It is time to begin planning your trip to the 2012 National Order of the Arrow Conferences. Pack your bags, grab your buddies and get ready for the biggest event in the Order. From July 30 through August 4th, 2012 more than 8,000 Arrowmen from across the country and around the world will gather at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan.

Arrowmen have a lot to look forward to from engaging shows, top notch training, inter-lodge competitions, ceremonial evaluations, dance competitions, and learning about the latest initiatives of the Order of the Arrow. At NOAC, Arrowmen will stay in University housing, eat in the dining halls, and will get to spend a week with their 8,000 best friends. What can be better than that?

So get ready for an exciting time at NOAC 2012. Stay tuned to event.oa-bsa.org for the latest updates about NOAC 2012. Invite your buddies to come to NOAC too. Remember, Next Stop: NOAC 2012! See you there.

 


 

The first step to attending NOAC 2012 is reserving your seat at NOAC! In order to secure your chance to attend NOAC we must send a deposit to national in your name. Youth (under 21) who submit a deposit by December 1st, 2011 will receive an early bird patch!
